Dylan Svoboda 

Dylan joined Californians Against Waste as a Communications Associate in January 2019 with the aim of developing a stronger grasp of environmental communication and advocacy.


He is a student at UC Davis, where he is majoring in history, professional writing, and political science. He plans to graduate in Spring 2019.

Dylan was raised in the Sacramento region as the oldest of four siblings. He brings a reporter’s perspective and extensive knowledge of California politics to CAW. Previously, he served as a Communications Intern at the Steinberg Institute and a Legislative Intern in the Capitol Office of then-Assemblymember Anna Caballero. He works part-time as a reporter for the Sacramento News & Review.

In his spare time, Dylan can be found watching sports, spending time with family and friends, riding his bike, and reading up on the latest news.
